Thank you for your interest in writing for Romance Writers Report (RWR). Due to the number of articles currently awaiting publication, the RWR Content Committee is temporarily not accepting featured article submissions.

Now Accepting Column Article Submissions Only

Submissions are still open for RWR’s recurring columns. If you have an idea, experience, or insight to share with fellow romance writers, we encourage you to submit a column article for consideration. Column articles may be up to 450 words.

Current columns include:

• Life Between the Pages — Reflections on the writer’s life, including the experiences, challenges, and moments that happen beyond the words on the page.
• The Heart of Craft — Practical tips, techniques, and insights to help romance writers strengthen their storytelling and writing craft.
• Beyond the Manuscript — The business and career side of being a romance writer, from publishing and promotion to navigating the industry.

Article Payment Rates

• Featured Article: $0.35 per published word, up to $500 (temporarily not accepting featured article submissions)
• Column Article: $0.35 per published word, up to $157.50 (maximum 450 words)

Editing & Review

Our editor works with freelance copyeditors and proofreaders to help polish your article for style, clarity, grammar, spelling, and accuracy. Think of it as a little extra polish to make your piece shine! Please note that editing may also adjust your article’s final word count.
