Guidelines for Submitting a Workshop or Guide Proposal

We welcome proposals from experts who are passionate about sharing their knowledge with the writing community. Whether your specialty is craft, career development, marketing, publishing, research, or another area that supports romance writers, we invite you to submit a proposal that will help authors learn, grow, and thrive.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Practical, actionable content designed for romance writers at every level, with a focus on those actively pursuing or advancing a career in romance writing.
  • Inclusive presentations that respect all genders, identities, abilities, and relationship types

Submission Requirements:

Workshops

  • Complete a Workshop Proposal form:
    • Upload 3–5 minute video overview explaining your workshop content, goals, and audience takeaways (submissions without a video will not be considered)
    • Indicate the workshop level: Beginner, Beginner/Intermediate, Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced, Advanced, or All Levels
    • Agree to comply with with RWA’s Anti-discrimination Policy, Antitrust Policy, and Code of Ethics
